George Hall

George Hall specialises in advising on public policy and governmental affairs, with a focus on the EU and its relationships with global trading partners. He has been involved in EU affairs since 1973 and has carved out a career both in the public and private sector as a UK diplomat and as senior executive in a major UK company. Background

George has, at various times, represented the IT industry in european and global forums, such as chairing the UNICE Information Society Steering Committee in Brussels. He was a founding board member of EICTA, and was EU issue manager on eCommerce in the Trans Atlantic Business Dialogue (TABD) as well as a member of the Business and Industry Advisory Committee of the OECD. He is also on the Executive Committee of the Broadband Stakeholder Group, a public/private partnership that advises the UK Government on broadband policy.

George is a member of the Royal Institute for International Affairs (Chatham House).
